In central and eastern North Carolina, there are over 190,000 children whose families don't have enough money to buy food. You can help by organizing a food drive or volunteering at the local food bank for just two hours on a Saturday. We rise by lifting others! |

In the Make a Difference section, you can learn about kid humanitarians and get information on how you can become one, too. |
Creativity & Exploration at Home
Learning doesn't stop when you leave the classroom. Exploratorium is collection of online experiences that help you put ideas into action. Create a conductivity meter or find the "sweet spot" on a baseball bat -- the experiences are endless! Younger students can become Science Explorers with age-appropriate activities, too.
Get your creative writing juices flowing at home with this teacher-created website full of silly story starters and wild writing prompts. One way you can participate is to play online Mensa for Kids games. This is also a great resource for connecting with other gifted and talented students across the world.

G&T.com is also a valuable resource for enriching programs to accelerate learning based on specific subjects of your choice.
